Yes we did (again)!

Despite volunteers’ worries over inclement weather that threatened to put a damper on Friday night’s Tailgate Tea party, a crowd of red-blooded Tennessee patriots showed up on the Square in Murfreesboro for Friday night’s Tailgate Tea Party! Crowd estimates vary, but most agree that the crowd reached at least 1,200 to 1,500 people.

Speakers included Steve Gill, Ben Cunningham, and Drs. Tim Johnson and Eric Potter, along with military mom Bernadette Ash and others. In addition, several local politicians were in attendance, including State Reps. Jim Tracy, Donna Rowland, and Joe Carr, and Tennessee Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey. The open mic also was a huge success, with more Tennessee patriots willing to speak than time allowed.

Tennessee Patriots carrying homemade signs protesting government expansion, spending, and debt, gathered on the Square starting around four o’ clock.  Sentiments ran strong in opposition to hurtful Government programs such as the so-called “Cap & Trade” (also called “Cap & Tax”) bill passed not long ago by the House of Representatives.
